Recently, I have been reading a book named The Secrets that the Bank Director never Tell You.
It’s a book about economics written by a bank director. The author has been working in banks for many years with lots of experience in fortune management. Maybe it sounds like a tedious textbook to many, but I manage to find enjoyment out of it. The author tries to introduce various financial products and services to the readers, such as time deposit and demand deposit, wealth investment product, credit card, fund and trust Different products serve different purposes. We should learn to manage our wealth well so that it would not depreciate or shrink as inflation rate rises regularly.
It’s my friend that introduces this book to me. Since I’m planning to study abroad so he thinks it may help me better arrange my money and be a wise consumer. At first, I despised the idea of a retired banker who just keeps babbling on the obvious fact that "money is important". But as I read more, I started to apply the principles in the book to my daily life.
I really enjoy reading this book because every time I open it, I can find new idea to help my decision making. Now I understand when to deposit and when to make investment. I start to know various and complex investment portfolio, such as futures, bond, fund, stock and national debt In the real world, money can breed money. Isn’t the world of money fascinating? Considering my academic background of an economics major student, no matter if I’m going to be working in the financial world or not, getting more knowledge of the world of economy only does me good. I think I’ll finish reading it and recommend it to my friends.
