   As is known to all, traditional Chinese culture is a great legacy left by our ancestors, which should play an important part in college education. However, it is quite worrying that nowadays the phenomenon of neglecting traditional Chinese culture is becoming all-pervasive.
   In my opinion, colleges and universities should be greatly responsible for students’ acquisition of traditional Chinese culture in their study. Firstly, the authorities concerned should enhance the awareness that traditional Chinese culture is supposed to become an essential component of college education. Secondly, relevant courses and classes should be provided for students so that they would gradually gain knowledge of traditional Chinese culture. Thirdly, there should be some activities to arouse students’ interest in traditional Chinese culture.
   But schools alone cannot ensure the final success in improving students’ knowledge of traditional Chinese culture. Students should also take an active part. We should not only be proud of our Chinese identity but also pay much more attention to our splendid traditional culture in our daily study and life.
