    Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
    Women should go back home to be full time housewives so as to give more opportunities to men.

答案     Some people claim that women should go back home to be full time housewives so as to give more opportunities to men. I have always been surprised by such statements. Disagreeing with this opinion, I think women should work as they like, which will not pose any obstacle to men.
    Firstly, it is women’s right to go out of the home and work just as men do. In the spirit of gender equality, it is natural for women to enjoy the same rights as men do, including working. Women deserve this right because they are no less capable and intelligent than men. This is proved by stories of many successful women, such as Madam Curie and Helen Keller. Since women are far from being inferior to men, it is perfectly justified that they are not bound to do household chores.
    Secondly, if women are engaged in some work, it will create more opportunities for men instead of causing difficulties. As it is known, women are better at some specific sorts of work, such as office work like typing, service work like stewardess and some artistic work as well. Of course, that does not mean women are inferior to men in other kinds of work, for example, management. Therefore, if women can take on these kinds of work, it will spare men a lot of efforts, which they can spend to do work they are better at and make more achievements.
    In sum, women should have the freedom to work as men do. This is the justifiable right of women. Furthermore, if women can go out of the home to do some work, it will create more opportunities for men’s work. Therefore, it is improper to state that women should go back home to be full time housewives so as to give more opportunities to men.
