Indigenous people from the world’s northern polar regions, the Inuit, say climate change is threatening to destroy their culture. An Inuit spokeswoman told an international conference in Milan, that the problems facing her people were an early warning for the rest of the world. Around 150,000 Inuit still pursue their traditional way of life in northern Canada, Alaska, Greenland, and the far east of Russia.
