    As to people’s attitude to truth, ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle well deserves our admiration and imitation, who once remarked "Plato is dear to me, but dearer still is truth." From my perspective, what the inspiring remark conveys is that in the course of pursuing truth one should never surrender himself to authorities but hold firmly to the truth instead.
    However, in order to seek truth, one should always equip himself with great knowledge and confidence, as well as perseverance. For one thing, it is widely spread that knowledge and confidence are to truth as compass is to navigation. Without knowledge and confidence, one is bound to get lost in the process of searching for truth. For another, even if one is confronted with a most authoritative statement, he should learn to question.
    Armed with extensive knowledge, confidence and perseverance, one may very well arrive at the destination in the course of searching for truth even in the face of authorities.
