    Nowadays, some college students get married upon graduation, which has attracted sufficient attention and brought about a heated discussion among people.
    The reasons that lead to this phenomenon are complicated. Firstly, generally speaking, students graduate from college at twenty-three years old, attaining the legal age for marriage. To those who have already found lovers, getting married upon graduation is a natural choice and is seen as the beginning of an important phase of life according to the Chinese tradition. Secondly, college graduates face fierce competition at the job market, and some of them may seek to avoid the pressure by getting married. Thirdly, this phenomenon also has something to do with people’s ideas on work and family. Those who value family more may choose to establish a family first and develop career later.
    In my mind, although many college students are physically mature, they are not mentally mature or financially independent, so getting married upon graduation may become a heavy burden for them. What’s more, trying to find the comfort and security through marriage which may not be found in the job market is in no way an ultimate solution.
