I received your message asking why the tasks you assigned me have not yet been fully completed. The reason the other jobs are not done yet is that my assistant is out with the flu right now. He should be back at work next Monday, so we’ll get the painting and varnishing done as soon as possible. By the way, the sports hall is much larger than I had guessed, so I had to spend some extra money to get more materials. However, I’m sure the college will approve the extra expenditure.
