Williams: Hello, Ms. Ford. My name is Williams Smith. I’m calling about the job that you advertised in Sunday’s paper.
Ford: Oh, yes, the receptionist’s job. Have you worked as a receptionist before?
Williams: Yes, I used to work for a company. The company sold computer equipment.
Ford: Oh, well, that sounds good. Could you come in for an interview tomorrow at 2 :00 p.m. ?
Williams: Yes, I’ll be there. You’re on Washington Street, aren’t you?
Ford: Yes, at 256 Washington Street. Do you know which building?
Williams: I think so. It’s the tall building on the corner of Park and Elm, isn’t it?
Ford: That’s right. By the way, do you have a letter of reference from the company you used to work for?
Williams: Yes, I do. I’ll bring it with me tomorrow.
