    Science is an indispensable element to any existing society. Science can promote the progress of our society. Science enables people to get rid of stupidity, superstition and ignorance. Science means probing into the regularity of things, i. e. seeking truth. Science can render people more rational in the process of solving certain difficult problems. We can hardly survive in this world without the potent support of science. But science itself can not solve problems related to humanity automatically.
    Humanity is as important as science. Humanity steers the course of scientific and technological development. Humanity can also promote the healthy development of science and technology. Humanity means pursuing goodness. Humanity is conducive to the harmony and stability of our society. Without science, humanity is an empty talk.
    Science and humanity have different connotations but there is an intrinsic connection between them. They are the two indispensable elements of a society’s development and progress. They complement rather than repel each other. A society that overemphasizes science but ignores humanity is not perfect. One that overemphasizes humanity but overlooks science is not perfect, either.
    Based on the above discussion, it can be concluded that science has its limitations and so does humanity. So I strongly suggest that people harness humanity as a guideline while developing science because humanity can direct the development of science correctly. Of course, never should people belittle science because science is the basis on which people can survive in the world.
