问题     Nowadays some people like to give help to the local community or provide people with direct help. Other people prefer to give money to national and international organisations.
    Discuss both of the two ways and present your own opinion.

答案     Nowadays, people have been attaching more and more attention to charity. However, when it comes to the actual approaches to be adopted to express their caring and loving, their opinions vary considerably. As for me, I believe each approach may have its own advantages and disadvantages and it’s really hard to tell which one is the best choice.
    First, it is generally agreed that direct help is beneficial to both parties. On one hand, it offers a unique rewarding feeling to those who give help. Whenever they see the smile on the face of those who are helped, those who offer the help will undoubtedly acquire a sense of fulfillment, which will propel them to engage themselves more enthusiastically in the cause of charity. On the other hand, when others do not actually need any financial support, direct help, as a commonly-accepted form, seems to be indispensable. However, this form is usually only restricted to one’s neighbourhood.
    Second, compared with offering direct help, giving money to national and international organisations has been gaining increasing popularity among the public for its high efficiency and great convenience. There are times when people having the intention to help do not happen to have the time to do so. There are also times when people who offer help prefer to be behind the veil. Fortunately, all these problems have been solved with the appearance of many national and international charity organisations, which has made it possible to make the best use of the fund to help as many people as possible in the right way and at the best time. Nevertheless, a lack of administration and supervision over these organisations may trigger misuse of the fund or even corruption of the officials involved.
    Clearly, there are various ways to help others. What is the most important is whether one has a loving and sympathetic heart which drives him or her to extend a helping hand to those who await our help.
