     Nowadays, with the arrival of information age, multi-media technology represented by computer-assisted instruction (CAI) is getting more and more popular on campus. It plays a vital role in the process of education.  More and more students tend to learn their subjects independently with the help of multi-media learning system. As a result, their scores have been more or less improved. Therefore, I prefer the combination of multi-media technology and education.
     There are various reasons for my preference. First, it’s a completely fresh way of learning, which can capture the full attention of learners and arouse their curiosity with vivid pictures and attractive sound. Besides, the appliance of multimedia technology is the most patient teacher in the world, and it can give students immediate feedback and teach them very patiently and skillfully until they master the course. Most of all, students can enjoy the freedom of learning and learn whatever they want at their own pace, with both ease and pleasure.
     With the further development of multi-media technology, I believe, it will be an irresistible tendency of the way of education in the new century. And it will win every student’s and teacher’s favor and be his or her good learning and teaching aid.
