                My View on the Negative Effects of Reference Books

答案                        My View on the Negative Effects of Reference Books
      Nowadays all kinds of reference books flood among students. Reference books themselves are useful and helpful. However, the improper use of reference books, such as depending ’too much on them, will certainly do harm to students.
     Obviously, depending too much on reference books has many side effects. To begin with, they can make some students less attentive in class. Armed with keys to all the questions, they seem to know all and only find their memory completely blank in exam-rooms. Besides, some reference books are published in such haste that they occasionally provide students with wrong information, thus making students confused about some knowledge. Worst of all, by merely copying from reference books, students gradually become lazy and get into passive learning habits which are difficult to get rid of, and even do great harm to their creativity.
     Therefore, I suggest that students should take a correct attitude toward reference books. In addition, they should be taught how to make proper use of the books and never overuse them by merely copying without thinking. Only in this way can they reduce the negative effects of reference books.
