There is a saying that goes like this: "Don’t judge a book by its cover until you’ve read the book." We can not tell whether a book is worth reading or not only by reading the information on its cover. Only after we finish reading the book can we comment on it objectively.
I can’t agree more to this saying. On the cover of a book, we can only see the book’s name and some brief introduction, which is not enough for us to know its value. The value of a book lies in its contents, framework, language, writing style, etc. That’s why we shouldn’t judge a book only by its cover. This is also true when we need to judge other things. For example, when we are browsing all kinds of news online, we can never know the whole story well only by reading the oversimplified-sometimes even misleading—headlines. Actually, we should not make a judgment on anything hastily until we’ve studied it completely.
In my opinion, in order to make rational judgments, we’d better spend enough time and energy to understand a person or a thing before drawing any conclusion.
