答案     As one of the most powerful engines driving human development, education has always been a topic of public interest and concern. There is much controversy about the real purpose of education— teaching knowledge or educating people.
    Those who argue for knowledge-based education claim that people receive education with the aim to prepare themselves for the future career. Therefore, what education should offer is knowledge and skills needed for a certain profession. Nevertheless, another voice is also frequently heard that the essence of education should not be so utilitarian, and should lie in its guidance of people in morality and justice.
    As a university student receiving higher education, I hold the opinion that a reasonable education is the combination of teaching knowledge and educating people. Education should certainly be able to prepare young people for their future careers; besides, educating people to be moral citizens is an essential function required by the society.
