    In the past two years of my college life I have never ceased to think what kind of jobs I will take up after I obtain my bachelor’s degree. Although my ideas about jobs were not consistent, now I am determined on a college teacher as my lifelong career.
    There are a variety of reasons that have led me to choose this occupation over other more lucrative ones. First of all, teaching is learning. To make my lectures more constructive, stimulating and interesting, I have to read more books, explore new knowledge and fields, and gain a better understanding of the world--the very thing I enjoy in my life. Secondly, teaching means freedom and independence. As a teacher, I am free to use my own ideas and make my own decisions, and this is a privilege that not everyone can have, even those with highly-paid positions. Finally, I choose to teach because it offers a certain peace of mind. No more rushing to catch a morning bus, no more anxiety to please a boss, no more worries about your paycheck. Nothing, not even a big salary, can equal the opportunity to continue learning, the satisfaction of being your own boss, and peace of life.
    Therefore, being a college teacher is the best job I will choose after I graduate from college.
