    As humans, we do make mistakes from the very beginning of our life. Even we keep learning all the time, we make mistakes because to err is human. It is acceptable to make mistakes. As the saying goes, "Man errs as long as he strives."
    In most cases, mistakes and progress go hand in hand. It is by correcting the mistakes we have made that we keep progressing. Many famous scientists, Nobel, Franklin, and Einstein, to name only a few, had made mistakes in their experiments, but they learned from their mistakes and finally made great inventions. Moreover, mistakes contribute to the development of society to some extent in that people may learn from others’ mistakes and avoid making the same mistakes. And thus the whole society will make progress.
    To sum up, we young people should be well aware that it is acceptable for people to make mistakes. When we strive for our dreams, we do make mistakes. But more importantly, we should learn from our mistakes and make progress.
