    As an overseas scholar from China, I have written an application for one year’s research attachment in London University. To support this application, I would like to make a few explanations in the light of what I have done and what I am going to do.
    I have been studying in the field of biology for nearly 10 years after I graduated from Sci-Tech University in China with a doctorial degree. During this period, I did some projects in this field, one of them sponsored by the Education Ministry of China. These projects have helped me form a strong interest in and a comparatively solid foundation for the research on cell biology. My findings and achievements are mostly reflected in my 20 articles published in some top journals in China and an American one. Many of my findings and ideas were highly regarded by some Chinese and American scholars.
    I plan to continue my research in cell biology in Britain. I hope to update my knowledge in the field concerned, and also hope to join a research group to undertake certain project in London University. By doing this I hope to enter into a long-term cooperation with British scholars. I am sure that this experience will be beneficial to my future work and help me acquire great achievements in cell biology.
