   I’m Jeff, the president of the Students ’ Union. As the spokesman of our Students’ Union and the organizer of today’s sports meeting, I welcome you all to our stadium. After a month’s preparation, our annual sports meeting are held on schedule.
   To start with, I’d like to express my heart-felt thanks for the support from our school leaders and teachers on behalf of all the students. Although they have many administrative responsibilities and teaching tasks, they have taken time off to take part in our sports activities. Sports are very important. As we all know that our goal is "To promote physical culture and build up people’s health". Sports can not only build up people’s health, it can also develop our self-confidence.
