    Some people believe that product placement is becoming increasingly important to the merchants as it has a great impact on promotions due to the fact that it is a good way to inform consumers. Others, however, think that product placement infringes the customers’ rights as they hope to appreciate the movies or TV shows instead of the advertisements.
    From my viewpoint, product placement is a strategic tool of promotion employed by companies as a means of differentiating themselves from their competitors. And it is also a good way for TV or movie producers to raise funds. As long as product placement is placed in the context properly, we can accept it as one part of the movies or TV shows.
