    Recently there are various kinds of lotteries sold all over the country. Many people are crazy about these lotteries. Most of them are dreaming of getting a huge amount of money. But few can realize the problems that they should pay more attention to.     The lotteries do benefit the society and the individuals. Most lotteries are sold for the purpose of collecting money for social welfare or charity or for public facilities. The money will eventually benefit the citizens. The running of lotteries offices and selling of lotteries will create many employment opportunities. It will help to solve the problems of re-employment of laid-off workers. Moreover, some lucky people do have the pleasure of making fortune overnight.
    However, lotteries also cause many problems. Some people get much too obsessed in making fortune through lotteries. Some of them use a lot of money to buy lotteries. In a sense, lotteries become gambling to them. Some cases of psychological problems caused by lotteries have proved this. The result of lottery comes totally form random selection. But some people believe the fortunetellers or some goods can give them hints about the results. Superstition makes them lose more money. Even those lucky people and their family lose their mind in how to share or use the money.
    So I believe that people should have a correct attitude towards lotteries. I would like to view these as a kind of donations rather than gambling. As the chance of making fortune is extremely little. I will never think much of getting the money or believe in those superstitions.
