    As the proverb goes, "Variety is the spice of life. " Some people may be in favor of it while some others may be not. In my opinion, we should not simply label it as right or wrong, but explore it in depth.
    This proverb is especially true in the following aspects. First, variety, which means more changes and experiences, brings us new feelings and ideas vital for us to understand the essence of life. Second, if we desire to improve ourselves, we are required to change for the better by making new attempts. Furthermore, conscious changes can make us more creative and energetic. For these reasons, most people enjoy a colorful life instead of monotonous life.
    Nevertheless, the proverb does not hold true in certain aspects. Many things, in my belief, should be kept unchanged no matter how time flies. For instance, we should hold on to our dreams if we ever want to turn them into reality. And, we should always be loyal to our parents, partners and friends.
    In a nutshell, in most cases it is safe to say that "Variety is the spice of life"; but in certain circumstances, staying unchanged seems to be a better choice.
