I think the Headmaster was very【C3】______ with classes,【C4】______the teacher over and over again what they must【C5】______ and examined the boys himself to see【C6】______ they were ready for the Inspector. He seemed very【C7】______ all the time, and told us in our class that we were【C8】______ fools and would be sure to make him【C9】______ face before the Inspector.
    All【C10】______ made us very nervous; and when the Inspector wandered into our class, we were all【C11】______ with fright. I felt that all I【C12】______ knew had gone clean out of my head. The Inspector is a tall man. He【C13】______ glasses and always looks very strict. He【C14】______ examining the class in English, and I was the very【C15】______ boy he called up to read. I felt very nervous, but I managed to get through withoutany bad mistakes. Some of the other boys,【C16】______, did not do so well, and the Inspector looked serious, though he did not say much.
    We got along better【C17】______ History and Geography, but when it came to Math he set us some very hard problems to solve which we【C18】______ to do;so he looked very black at our teacher.
