She moved on and then stopped where a lot of people had gathered round a counter. She found some good pipes (烟斗)on sale and the prices were very reasonable (合理的). Susan bought one at once. Although her father only smoked a pipe now and then, she knew that this was a present which was sure to please him.
When she got home, with her small but lovely present in her bag, her parents were already at table having dinner.  Her mother looked very happy. "Your father at last decided to stop smoking," She told her daughter.
