In the Northwest United States, however, the grey wolf is almost extinct, with a population of perhaps 30. Further south in the United States the grey has disappeared completely. In mexico, researchers estimated that fewer than 10 greys survive.
    The grey wolf became extinct in England about 1486; it disappeared from Scotland in 1743 and from Ireland in 1770. [br] Once grey wolf could be found in many parts of the earth.
