    我行已收到你行8584号信用证，其中包含如下条款：“本信用证有效期8月8日，在香港议付。”
    鉴于受益人居住在中国北京市，按信用证规定，我行有权向伦敦海外部城市银行索汇。我们认为议付地点应在中国内陆，而不是在“中国香港”。因此我行已冒昧代为更正，同时将该信用证通知受益人。

    We refer to you L/C No 8584 which contains the clause "This Credit expires on 8th August, for negotiation in Hong Kong. "
    In view of the fact that the beneficiaries are domiciled at Beijing, China, and our bank is authorized , in accordance with the stipulations of the Credit, to claim reimbursement from City Bank, Overseas Department, London. We should think that negotiation should be made in China mainland instead of China Hong Kong. Therefore we have taken the liberty to make due correction on your behalf before advising the Credit to the beneficiaries.
