Dear Mr. Denikos:
I am writing to you at the request of Ms. Evangelia Makestos, who is applying for a position as an assistant in your company.
Ms. Makestos worked for me as an assistant during her summer vacations for the past three years. My colleagues and I found her to be a very competent and reliable employee. Her duties consisted of typing and copying documents, maintaining files, organizing appointment schedules, assisting visitors to the office, and other office tasks as they arose.
