Re: Relocation

In order to accommodate increased inpatient demand and overcome capacity issues, our hospital is relocating our main building to the Marshall Building. Because this relocation will sufficiently increase our yearly budget, the final decision was made after a careful break-even analysis to determine the patient volume required to make revenues equal to the expenses of the relocation of our hospital. While the relocation is good for business, it also means that we have outgrown our original space here in the historic Foster Building. The Marshall Building is an adjacent medical office building which is almost double the size of our current location. It has also ample parking lots for our patients.
As discussed at the monthly meeting on January 15, our relocation will take place on Monday March 20. We have contracted the services of Uptown Commercial Movers to help us pack our items. We will be providing all our employees with a special packet containing information about the move, including a description of what each person will be responsible for packing and a comprehensive timeline for the week of the move. New office assignments and sketches of the Marshall that show the layout of the emergency center, medical wards, and waiting rooms will also be provided.
Before we move our offices, we will notify all of the patients and their families about our relocation. We have to assure them that there will be no difference in quality in our medical services.
On March 10, all employees are welcome to visit the new building to become acquainted with the inside of the office. As a leading hospital in this area, we should resume work as soon as possible. Thank you. [br] Why is Brentwood Hospital moving to a new location?
