I am a friend of James Baker and he encouraged me to forward my resume to you. I know James through the Peterson Publishing Company, where I was the editor. We worked together on books about several local art galleries and museums.
I have included a copy of one of those books with this letter. James thought that the position at Master Publishing Company might be of interest to me when he learned that my family and I will be moving California in on April 13. I would appreciate any recommendations you can offer for conducting a job search for an editor’s position, and any help you can provide with the logistics of relocating to California.
My resume and cover letter are attached. Most of my editorial experience is in a number of fashion, education, finance, entertainment publication. I think I am prepared to handle the duties involved. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
