The Bureau of Food and Drugs and the Health Department will hold a state-wide training seminar on food safety inspection at the Health Department conference hall in Springfield on March 15. The seminar has been arranged to ensure proper evaluation of food handling procedures in restaurants and fast-food outlets. The Bureau will also introduce new inspection guidelines during the event. These will include new policies from the bureau that must be implemented by the end of this year. Therefore, all Rockford Food safety officers are required to attend. Theresa Lloyd, our new administrative assistant, is responsible for reserving seats at the seminar and making transportation arrangements.
