This is Hannah Schofield for Radio Net 36 reporting from the New Spirit Recreation Center. As many of our listeners know, Roger Dennis is a local entrepreneur who has a very successful computer software company. Three years ago, he made a substantial donation for building a public recreation facility. Well, that facility opens today, and it’s quite spectacular. It features a large indoor and outdoor playing area, and provides for a variety of sports with plenty of seating for spectators. The complex also includes a swimming pool, locker rooms and a large snack bar. Use of the facility is available for all city residents at a reasonable rate.
