Thank you for inviting me to the Occupational Health Society’s Fifth Annual Convention. I’m pleased to present our recent study about the effects of coffee on a person’s behavior. Results show that moderate consumption of coffee can increase alertness and reduce fatigue, especially during night shifts. It also improves an employee’s ability to concentrate on mental tasks such as writing or programming. Although coffee has positive effects on work performance, excessive intake can lead to health problems, especially in caffeine-sensitive individuals.
