   Candidate A: I think in future more employees will be expected to work flexible hours. Working flexible hours reveals both a number of advantages and disadvantages. The advantages overweigh the disadvantages. The advantages for the employee are that: first, he may set his own work schedule to meet personal needs; second, he may choose a schedule that avoids traffic congestion and thus reduces commuting time; third, he avoids the psychological stress resulting from concern over arriving at the work place at a set time; and fourth, an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect between tile worker and the employer is created. Both employer and employees will feel much happier, and believe they have established a balance between work and home life.
   Candidate B: Working flexible hours will be on the increase. The advantages for the employer appear to be that：first absenteeism is reduced; second, production is increased; third, with mutual agreement between the employee and the employer, adjustment of work schedules can accommodate fluctuations in work loads; fourth, since personal needs are otherwise provided for, the employee’s work day is uninterrupted; fifth, more effective communications occur among employees during the core time; sixth, better delegations of assignments and authority are made to subordinates; seventh, more good applicants for jobs are available (e.g., working mothers); and eighth, personnel turnover is reduced. However, many of employers are slow to realize the benefits of letting employees work fewer or more flexible hours.
