Interviewer: Well, Cheng Jun and Zhang Yue, as you know, the last part of this speaking test is a discussion task. Your discussion topic is on this task card. You have about thirty seconds to read it carefully. And then, you will have a discussion on the topic given. Your discussion time is about three minutes. Now it’s time to read your discussion card.

Now you can start your discussion. I will listen to you and stop you at the end of three minutes.
Cheng Jun: This is a good news that many of our employees have dreamed for years, right? We have to be careful, make sure that all the qualified and good employees can get it.
Zhang Yue: I couldn’t agree more. But it’s really a complex and challenging work to decide who can get it, especially when we have such a large amount of staff and so many things to take into account.
Cheng Jun: Yes, that’s true. What do you think would be the important requirement?
Zhang Yue: Contribution, I think. The employees who contribute more should be given the priority here. Much contribution means much work and much engagement. What do you think?
Cheng Jun: I agree. Besides, employees’ performance appraisal can also tell us much about their daily work, regular performance, their attitude and many other things.
Zhang Yue: A good idea. What about time? I mean we should also set a basic requirement or a bottom line about at least how long the employees should have worked for the company, do you understand me?
Cheng Jun: Well, yes. I am also thinking about that. This will be helpful to encourage the common staff to keep stable and work harder, and it sounds very attractive for high - qualified employees. What about education degree?
Zhang Yue: Education matters a lot, especially to a high tech company today. Employees with high education degrees are the backbone of a company. If I can decide, surely I will give them much priority in getting this benefit.
Cheng Jun: So far, we’ve discussed…
Cheng Jun: We have the same idea. Knowledge and technology is the power of productivity. And the competition between companies is in fact the competitions between qualified personnel. If we give employees with high education degrees this benefit, I’m sure the company will attract and retain many talented staff and will have a bright future.
Interviewer: What about the employees who can’t get this benefit?
Cheng Jun: The company is still developing, starting such a benefit program has just showed that it really intends to improve the benefit level and it employees living condition, and it is actually doing this. Maybe there should be some housing allowance for those who can’t get the benefit this time, so let’s suggest the company to think about it.
Zhang Yue: Of course, we will do it. What’s more, for the persons who can’t get this benefit at present, it doesn’t mean they will never get it. These requirements we just discussed will be the reference or even guide for their work in the future. If we work hard together to make the company developing fast, this program will reach every employee.
