   Your company needs to secure credibility in ways other than advertisements. Your manager feels that the company can gain reputation if more of its employees publish articles in journals. You have been asked to write a proposal regarding the need to encourage the employees to write articles for professional journals.
   Write your proposal, including the following:
   a brief description of the employees’ engagement in writing article for scholarly journals
   an explanation of why published articles can contribute to the company’s credentials and credibility in terms of its technical expertise
    recommendations for incentive measures that urge the employees to consider writing articles for journals

   Your company has been keen on screening out socially inappropriate messages from all of its advertisements. You have been instructed to write a report about biased ads which foster a negative stereotype of some group. Write the report for your manager, including the following information=

   Your company, which runs a transportation business, has received a letter requesting adjustment on damaged shipment from a client. You are responsible for writing letters to inform clients of how reimbursement is made to clients under such circumstances. Writing the letter to this client:
   expressing your awareness of this affair and your apology for the damage
   informing him of the granted adjustment
   reminding him of what needs to be done before the reimbursement is made

     I  have  just  received  your  March  24  letter complaining about  the  damaged  shipment you received through Green Tree Freight and regret the inconvenience that it has caused you. AS someone who values your business, I’m writing this letter to inform you that I have already begun to find a solution to resolve this problem.
      From your account of the problem, I am quite sure that your request for the ＄ 240 adjustment on the damage to the 2 crates of Valjean Cristsl stemware will be granted. A certain amount of breakage of this sort does unavoidably occur in cross-country shipping; I am sorry that it was your company that had to be the one to suffer the delay.
      I must remind you to keep the damaged crates in the same condition in which you received them until one of our representatives can inspect them. That inspection should take place within 2 weeks and will be a normal procedure essential to our granting adjustment to our clients.
      If all is in order, as it sounds to be in your letter, you can expect the full reimbursement within 2 weeks after our representative’s inspection. I hope this unfortunate accident will not keep you from having merchandise shipped by Green Tree Freight in the future.
