问题     The table below shows the results of a study that compared three major cities. Four characteristics of each city were measured on a scale of satisfaction from 1 to 10 , with 10 being the most favourable evaluation. Compare the advantages of living in each of these three cities.
    Using the information from the table, write a short proposal on your preference of living in one of the three cities.
    Write 120-140 words on a separate sheet.

答案 From the table, it is clear that each of the three cities has its advantages and disadvantages in living conditions. First, for employment opportunity, City C is the most competitive one with the highest satisfaction scored 8, followed by City A and City B; then, in terms of climates, the weather in City B is the most favourable with the satisfaction scored 9, followed by City C and City A; as far as safety is concerned, City A is the safest place to live in which is scored 8 in satisfaction while City C is the most dangerous place with a score of only 2; as for entertainment, City C prevails with the satisfaction score of 8 and City B is considered as the most monotonous city to live in among the three.
    Personally, I would like to choose City B for living as I highly value safety and climate which are essential prerequisites for people to live a secure and comfortable life. I do not mind that the employment rate is low in this city because I like competition; and it does not matter much to me whether the city can provide me with plenty of entertainment, because I am always able to enjoy myself.
