答案 A: I’m very happy to have this opportunity to work with you on the preparation for the exhibition. I’ve listed three topics we are going to discuss today. Now, let’s begin with the first one. That is, what activities should be included in the exhibition. As our company is a manufacturing company, the exhibition is usually a show place for our products. We can display the classic products of our company. They help us get a share of the market.
B: Definitely, till now, people are still looking for some of our old products. And what I suggest is that apart from those classic ones, we should launch our latest products in the exhibition. I’m sure they will draw huge attention, and cause a stir in the market. According to the early experience, our exhibition can always attract people to come. Of course we still need to find new ways to expand the influence of our exhibition. For example, we can broad our exhibition by means of various media, such as radio, TV, Internet, and so on.
C: I agree with both of you. I think we can also make the exhibition itself more colourful. For example, we should invite artists to give performance on the exhibition, such as songs, dances, magic show. What’s more, we can have more interactions with the visitors and let them have a close contact with our products. People are aroused when they can take part in it.
A: Yeah, that’s true! We have to design some games to attract people’s attention, and the company also wants to set up a young and vigorous image because a manufacturing company always leaves a dull impression. All right. So much for the first topic, shall we move to the next subject? Namely, how the participants should be selected.
B: In my point of view, the participants should come from both the marketing department and the production department. Of course, we should set up a preparatory committee taking care of all the exhibition-related matters.
C: I think we might ask help from the Public Relations department. They have some very experienced staff in organising exhibitions and a lot of social connections which will enable us to work effectively.
A: Well. That is what we need to do immediately. And we are the first three members of the preparatory committee and after all the members are in place, we will work out a detailed agenda for the exhibition. And now let’s move to the last topic, which are the expected goals the exhibition needs to reach. In other words, what’s the purpose of holding this exhibition? It has been under debate whether we should have this exhibition this year, because our company is under some financial problems and our market is shrinking for the cheap copies of our products in the market. So spending a huge amount of money on an exhibition now doesn’t seem to be a good idea. So, we have to prove that the exhibition does worth the money.
B: Yeah, I think the exhibition is a good platform to advertise our products and establish the enterprise image! The exhibition has been a tradition and a lot of staff and their families take it as our company’s carnival.
C: Absolutely, many of my friends and relatives would ask tickets from me. The exhibition must go on and I believe it will bring our clients closer to us and expand our company continuously.
