F: Good afternoon, Coast Travel Agency. Can I help you?
M: Good afternoon. This is Kevin Beacham from D & B. I am going to Detroit for an international conference next month and I want to book a flight here.
F: Yes. When exactly would you like to go?
M: Well, the meeting starts on 26th of May. So I think I am leaving on the 24th.
F: Hold on, please. I’ll check that for you. I am sorry. The flight for the 24th is fully booked. But we still have a few seats on 23rd and 25th at 2:30 p.m. Do you want to make a change?
M: Let me see. Um, I have an important appointment on 23rd. I think I’ll have to take 25th. By the way, is it a direct flight?
F: No, i don’t think so. You have to change a flight in San Francisco. You’ll arrive at Detroit at about 6:00 a.m. on 26th. You’ll be just in time for the conference.
M: OK. Thank you then. And how much is the ticket?
F: It’s $936 for economic class and $1,024 for business. It already has a 20% discount.
M: I will be flying business then. Is it a return ticket?
F: Yes, it is.
M: OK. Now I’ll give you my name. It’s Kevin Beacham. That’s B -E-A -C -H-A-M.
F: All right. I’ll have it ready by tomorrow, Mr Beacham. One more question, are you going to pay by check or by cash?
M: By cash. I’ll send it to you when I go and pick up the ticket tomorrow afternoon.
F: No problem. OK, see you then.
