Man: That was a good meeting, Nancy.
Woman: We covered a lot certainly. Let’s come up with some points for next month’s newsletter.
We’ll have to prepare it soon anyway.
Man: Good idea. We usually leave it too late.
Woman: I’ll take notes. Let’s start with something positive, Frodo. How about the fact that the managing directors finally agreed to start a productivity bonus? That’s good news.
Man: Right. Especially it’ll be right across the board. And then there’s the feedback from last month’s new drug launch. It is very encouraging on the latest medication.
Woman: Yes, we should include that, especially for the research team. And something about Crack the Doom Inc. The board is in the process of deciding whether to go ahead with the takeover.
It’s not official yet, but the rumors are spreading already. Some staffs know the people in our rival companies so they’ll hear about it from them.
Man: Let’s write about it, but we must reassure staff that there won’t be any redundancies, at least in the foreseeable future, to avoid causing anxiety.
Woman: Let’s make the first draft tomorrow.
Man: All right.
