答案     With China’s Opening Policy and Economic Reform, more and more foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has flown into our country and played a positive role in our economic development.
    Recently, we have made a research on the sectional distribution of FDI in China. Our finding is displayed as in the pie chart above. From this chart, we can see that among manufacturing sectors, approximately half of FDI has been directed towards the labor-intensive industries. Technology-intensive and capital-intensive sectors almost equally share the rest; in that the share of the former is 26. 85% and capital intensive sector is 22. 73%. This suggests that the main motivation of foreign companies is to take advantage of China’s low labor costs. In the long term, we should pay more attention to conducting foreign investment in technology-intensive and capital-intensive sectors.
