Montse: Yes. Could you tell me the best way to get into the center of London, please?
Reception: Well, there is a courtesy bus, which leaves every 20 minutes during the rush hour, or the river taxi service to London Bridge.
Montse: And when is the rush hour?
Reception: It’s between seven and nine in the morning and five and seven in the evening.
Moatse: And after nine in the morning?
Reception: After nine the courtesy bus service runs every 40 minutes.
Montse: Ahha. And how long does it take?
Reception: The bus takes about 15 minutes, depending on the traffic.
Montse: And which way does it go?
Reception: Here, I’ll show you on the map. From the hotel it goes along the river bank and then on to Brunel Road. It crosses the fiver at Tower Bridge and then stops just after Tower Bridge at Tower Hill Underground Station.
Montse: And what about the fiver taxi, does that change after rush hour?
Reception: Yes, it’s a half hourly service during rush hour and after that it runs to a timetable. It takes about 15 minutes. It’s a really nice trip. You go across to Canary Wharf Pier first, then you go along the river, under Tower Bridge and you stop at a pier just before London Bridge. The only thing is, it costs ￡1.80 each way.
