What time will the flight leave? [br]
Part One. Questions 1 to 8. For question 1-8 , you will hear eight short recordings. For each question, mark one letter (A, B or C) for the correct answer.
After you have listened once, replay each recording.
[pause]
One: What time will the flight leave?
[pause]
M: Now Miss Cox, can we just go through the arrangements for my trip to Chicago? Have you booked a flight?
W: Mr Kerr. I have. You’re flying with American Airlines on 23 June. The flight leaves at 9 a. m..
[pause]
Two: What’s the flight number?
[pause]
W: Hello, I am calling about the group of visitors from Canada.
M: Oh, yes, what’s the detail?
W: Well, they are arriving on 5 September on flight CA 356,... so that’s about 5:30 in the afternoon.
M: Do you want me to arrange the hotel for them?
W: That would be nice. I’ll e-mail the names of the visitors.
[pause]
Three: When will the managing Director come?
W: Will the Managing Director come on March 1?
M: No. He’ll come on April 1.
[pause]
Four: What is the man going to order?
[pause]
M: Hello, Peggy, here are the catalogues I borrowed yesterday.
W: Oh, thanks, Sam. Did you find a filing cabinet you liked?
M: Yes, this one... I’m going to phone the order through now. I like the desks as well—I don’t need a new one, unfortunately!
W: And what about the computer chairs?
M: Yes, they look really comfortable. Maybe another time!
[pause]
Five: What is the reduction in the company’s exports ?
[pause]
M: The sales figures aren’t good, are they?
W: No. Down by 8%. Exports are the problem. They’re down by about 9% because interest rates have gone up again and the pound is so high.
M: So what are interest rates now?
W: 7%. I hope they don’t go up again.
[pause]
Six:Where will the woman meet the visitors?
[pause]
W: You know these people who want to write about the company?
M: Yes. You’re meeting them next week, aren’t you?
W: Mmm... Where should I take them? The factory perhaps?
M: I suppose you’d prefer this office, because it’s more comfortable.
W: Well, maybe a restaurant somewhere?
M: I think they’d prefer to see where our products are made.
W: Yes, you are right,
[pause]
Seven: Where will Ms Andrews have her lunch ?
[pause]
W: OK, look, here’s what I’ll do. I’m going to break for lunch in an hour. Come and see me then. And bring some of the samples of your new product so I can see them.
M: I’ll do that, Ms Andrew, but couldn’t I invite you to lunch?
W: No chance. I’d have to be back in my office before they took my order. No, look, just bring me up a sandwich from the snack bar across the street when you come.
[pause]
Eight: Which chart is correct?
[pause]
W: Right. So now we come to the sales figures. What are they like, Jack?
M: Well, I’m afraid they’re lower than in 2004. Those figures were very high, and there’s been a big fan in demand.
[pause]
That is the end of Part One.
[pause]
选项
A、
B、
C、
答案
B
解析
由听力原文可知,销售额在2004年的时候非常高,形成了一个“fan”,因此,只有B项符合该描述。故选B。
