答案           Looking Forward to the New Reform of College English in China
    When entering the 21st century, new technologies that include computers are adopted constantly. In such cases, all kinds of advanced English courseware have emerged continuously.
    Some people uphold the usage of courseware because they believe that students can teach themselves English by producing and introducing various kinds of English courseware. As a result, English teachers can be replaced by electronic courseware. I don’t stand by this concept. It is true that teachers are confronting the challenges of English courseware by which students can teach themselves English, but students still need their teachers’ advice. For instance, some students have no ideas what kinds of courseware are appropriate for their levels and what are not. This problem will be resolved after their teachers give them some advice. Furthermore, it is essential for English learner to have a surrounding of language communication. Students who don’t go to the classroom will lose their opportunity to communicate with their teachers and with classmates in class.
    My opinion is that we shouldn’t stress too much the role of courseware in English teaching and learning and even abandon our traditional teaching methods. Contrary to it, we should combine courseware with traditional English teaching methods to promote the English teaching reform in China.
