    When you enter a store department today, you may seek help to shop assistants or go up and down several rounds before you can find the stationery counters selling pens, ink bottles. On the other hand, the so called hi-tech products such as lap tops, laser printers come easily into your sights at such places. People say we live in an information age: typing, not writing; emailing, not posting; net surfing, not dictionaries referring.
    In my view, there is no denying that talking online has many advantages. But I would rather I did not have this sort of devices simply because of the intrusion of privacy. Upon the installation of a video camera, you can see not just the face of your counterpart but his(her)motion in his(her)casual wears, even worse is that your voice or accent directly and unnecessarily reveal your true meaning and feelings that you don’t like to reveal. Under this circumstance, email is a better option in which you can express your true feelings about something in letters, thus avoiding the embarrassment of oral expression.
    But in reality, I feel email is the most sensible way to contact with your friends, judging from the pace of life when sending paper letter may waste time. I recommend paper letters or cards to your friends on special occasions such as birthday, wedding day in addition to talking on line with them. But at other times, try to unplug your microphone and place your video camera to where it belongs to.
