    在英国有一位残疾青年，他双腿走起路来很困难，却凭着坚强的信念和毅力创造了一次又一次的壮举：他19岁时登上了世界最高峰珠穆朗玛峰；21岁时登上了阿尔卑斯山；22岁时登上了乞力马扎罗山……28岁前他登上了世界上所有著名的高山。然而，就在28岁这一年他自杀了。原来在他11岁时，他父母在攀登乞力马扎罗山时不幸遭遇雪崩双双遇难,他的父母在临行前给他留下了遗嘱，希望他能像父母一样，登上世界上所有著名的高山。这位残疾青年把父母的遗嘱作为他人生奋斗的目标，当实现全部目标的时候，他感到前所未有的无奈和绝望。他留下遗言：“如今，功成名就的我感到无事可做了，我没有了新的目标……”

    After reading the story I was convulsed. The will that the disabled young man owns is worthy of respect. He realized his goal that most of healthy people could hardly do. However, the end was surprising that the disabled young man committed suicide because he felt there was nothing to do without new goal, only despair and hollowness were left.
    Is there merely one goal in our life? This is the first problem I think about after reading the story. The goal is like sea waves that go forward one after another without cease, and it is also various. Our infinite potential is waiting for us to dig so that there are a variety of goals for us to pursuit. It is unwise to set one goal in our whole life. If so, happiness will slip away from us and only vanity is left once getting the goal.
    I myself have set different goals in my different life stage. As a university student, gaining my university degree is my first goal. And then, I will go to find a job that accords with my speciality and do my best to create outstanding achievement. Apart from this goal, I’ve also got a lot of others, such as forming a happy family, traveling around the world, learning Chinese martial arts and so on. With so many colorful goals, hollowness or mean-inglessness is surely far away from me.
