答案
Motivating Forces for Today’s Employees
This graph shows the results of a survey of employees who were asked to identify the motivators that were most important to them. As is shown by the findings, money is a tried-and-true motivator, with 67% employees responding actively to "good pay". There are still 59% of employees mentions "pay tied to performance", which indicates in addition to helping to satisfy physiological and safety needs, money also help fulfill higher-level needs for a sense of achievement if it is offered in the form of a bonus. Besides, today’s employees are more likely to be motivated by a job that offers more commitments or wider scope for personal development. As the graph shows, 67% of the employees identify "chance for advancement" as an equally important motivator as money. As many as 61% of the employees are highly motivated by a job that gives "chance to develop ability". 59% of the employees think "recognition for good work" important. Half of the employees involved in the survey feel more motivated by "great deal of responsibility" in their jobs, and around 54% of the employees concerned define a motivating job as "opportunity to be creative", "chance to think independently", "interesting work" and "challenging job".
From the graph we can say that today’s employees are no longer sellers of labor. Working is not only a means to make a living, but also a means to realize one’s personal values.
