I was surprised at how much he knew about taking care of succulent plants just from the Internet and his observations. He told me that he wants to be a botanist one day. He’s indeed a smart kid.
　　I like Jimmy very much. I think he has some qualities that make him stand out from his peers. Although he doesn’t own the best computer or schoolbag, he has curiosity about the world and longs to find the answer to any question. He once asked me about the process of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. I didn’t know too much about it, so he turned to the Internet, libraries and documentaries for more information. He even went to the local botanical garden to ask the gardeners about it. When he finally got the answer, he was very excited. I think this inquiring mind is missing in many adults. In a way, Jimmy is my teacher who teaches me to remain interested in the world and keep the passion for truth-seeking.
