答案 　　I find myself having a huge interest in psychology which studies human behaviour and mind. It originated in philosophy, and then became a separate academic discipline. Actually, psychology has many branches. I’d like to concentrate on behavioural psychology to learn about human’s cognition, emotion, motivation and so on.
　　My major has nothing to do with psychology, but I spend lots of time reading books on psychology— not academic books, but books for general readers. They’re mostly about analyzing characteristics or categorising different types of personalities. I’m deeply drawn to this subject. Although I can’t change my major at the moment, I’m considering applying for a master course on psychology upon my graduation.
　　As for the reasons why I want to study this subject, well, first of all, it will help me know more about people and myself. Since the start of my college life, I’ve met different kinds of people. I like observing the differences in their behaviour and the choices they make. I think behavioural psychology can help me understand the reasons behind those differences better. And maybe I can apply the knowledge to my major, computer science, and design programmes to help people make informed decisions or deal with problems in life. All in all, taking this course will benefit me a great deal in exploring people’s mental processes, including emotion, motivation and temperament. This would promote interpersonal communication, family dynamics and individual’s mental resilience. Psychology may be a very difficult course for me, but I’ve got ready for this challenge.
