First, historical dates give students chances to know better about the past history and culture of the country. Most of the time, students might not know much about the history of their own country, unless teachers tell them the specific historical dates with the knowledge and stories behind.
Also, important historical dates along with the specific history are always worth remembering especially those hardships and drawbacks in human history. Memorizing the past and learning from the mistakes are the ways to learn and improve ourselves, because the past experience provides a guide toward future success.
