Also, my friend can rent the house to somebody else for money which can be big part of his income and thus cover some of his living expense.
Secondly, my friend can invest in the stock market in China. The global recession has not affected China as badly as it has done to America, Japan, or the EU. In fact, the Chinese stock market is on the rise.
Making sound investment will ensure that he keeps his money, and even earns more money in the future!
