   The mobile phone bas become a predominant feature of modern life. In every possible place, their buzzing or ringing can be heard or sensed. While we are enjoying the benefits, we should think about the cost we are paying. In some ways, we are losing the efficiency of work or study for the convenience and pleasure we have got. That indeed departs from our original intention and is worth reconsideration.
   Efficiency of work or study decreases when the easy joy of using mobile phones increases. Nowadays, mobile phones are so versatile in function that it is unfair to call them just a "phone". In fact, they deserve the name of a "pocket multimedia device"! Equipped with instant messages, music boxes, interactive games, and digital cameras, they can do almost everything we can think of. No wonder we would frequently stop our job on hand whenever and wherever a fleeting idea strikes us. To work in the real world? Or to play in the small sized virtual reality? That is a difficult choice! And when we finally come back from the virtual reality, we often forget where we have left off in the real world.
   That is the saddening fact: we are often interrupted when we are supposed not to. Having a mobile phone in the pocket is just like taking a baby with us: we can not predict when we would feel like fondling it or when it will start to "cry for care". And we know that we are in good company.’ The majority of our colleagues and classmates are doing the same thing. Thus it is not uncommon for us to check whose "baby" is "crying" when a buzz or ring is heard. With so many "crying babies" all around, how can we dream of concentration and efficiency?
   Efficiency aside, think of the health hazard the mobile phone might bring. It is generally acknowledged that mobile phones can do harm to the user’s health because of the radioactive rays they send off. The authorities have warned that continual radiation generated by mobile phones can cause cancer of the organs that are exposed to such radiation for a certain length of time.
   Mobile phones, like many other, inventions, are invented to make our life more efficient.  However, without a sensible use of it, things will fail our expectation and go to the opposite pitifully. That’s why we find our life inefficient under the impact of over-used mobile phones.
